We conducted a national survey of HR professionals and business leaders in Ireland to understand the scale of bullying complaints in Ireland, the challenges in dealing with them, and identify gaps and opportunities in tackling this important issue.

  • Bullying is a Growing Concern: The majority of HR and business leaders in Ireland have recorded an increase or the same level of bullying complaints over the past 5 years.

  • Power Dynamics: The report shows that bullying complaints are most often levelled at those in managerial positions, and that the most frequent types of bullying are subtle and insidious.

  • Confidence vs Ability: The report identifies a gap between the confidence level of HR and business leaders in dealing with complaints, against the level of training organisations are providing.
