Workplace Grievances

Deal with employee grievances fairly and efficiently with Insight HR

Grievances in the workplace

No workplace is immune.

There are many reasons why an employee might raise a grievance. Perhaps they feel that they are being treated unfairly by their colleagues or management. They may feel that they are being bullied, harassed, or discriminated against. They might have a complaint about their working conditions or terms of employment. Perhaps they have witnessed something happen to a fellow employee and wish to raise a concern on their behalf. No workplace is immune to grievances, and as such every workplace should have a grievance procedure which an employee can follow if they wish to raise a complaint or concern.

Some grievances can be resolved informally, which is often the preferred option and may include mediation.

However, some grievances may prove trickier to resolve and can lead to a workplace investigation. However, whether a grievance is resolved formally or informally, both routes require a high level of understanding of the application of procedure and must be handled with sensitivity and tact.

How Insight HR can help

Insight HR has been helping employers deal with grievances for over 20 years and we provide a full suite of services in this area.

We can work directly with the employer and provide advice and guidance on how to deal with a grievance informally. In cases where the employer wishes to provide a mediation service, we can deploy one of our trained mediators to run the process from start to finish. If the matter proceeds down a formal route of complaint, then we can hear any complaints on behalf of the employer. In cases where the only option is to launch a formal investigation, one of our highly experienced investigators will handle the process in a fair and efficient manner.

Let us handle the tricky stuff.
